OUR COMPANY THE SCHOOL OF WHITE-WATER KAYAKING AND RAFTING exists since 1998. However, its origins go back to 1990. Just then we started going deeply into the secrets of extreme water sports. At first, we did only white-water kayaking and later on when we achieved more experience we got interested in other water disciplines. This, in turn, helped us develop new techniques that are useful in our job, such as rope techniques, canyoning, basic first aid. In 2003 our School organized an expedition to Nepal which was called IN A KAYAK FROM MOUNT EVEREST - "HIMALAYAK 2003" OUR BOSS Piotr Sikora, both the founder and the company coordinator, as a graduate of Academy of Physical Education in Krakow and the former President and Trainer of Academic Kayaking Club has got essential instructive qualifications necessary in this sort of profession. Lots of successes, such as the second position in white-water kayaking in Open Academic Championship in Poland as well as Polish Champion in kayak freestyle, make him a very experienced and well-skilled trainer. Since 1993 he has been organising trainings on Polish and European rivers. He was also the leader of the expedition IN A KAYAK FROM MOUNT EVEREST - "HIMALAYAK 2003" mentioned above. OUR INSTRUCTORS We have become professionals due to taking part in extensive training for many years. Today we are a highly-qualified instructor staff. We have got professional licences i.e. Instructor of Physical Recreation specialized in Kayaking as well as the licence of Polish Kayaking Society and one of the organisation called PTTK. Each year our instructors spend hundreds of hours on rivers as instructors - that makes them real professionals in that field. OUR ACTIVITIES Retendo is one of very few companies on the Polish market which promote extreme white-water sports. We offer a wide range of training in white-water kayaking and rafting. A great advantage of such training is the fact that it is conducted on each level of difficulty, in Poland and abroad. We strongly emphsize our professionalism, reliability and personal safety. Our methods and systems of training are accurate and have been modernized for many years as well as entirely adjusted to the European standards. This has helped us achieve a formal permission for organising instructor trainings (i.e. instructor of Physical Recreation specialized in Canoeing). We have also got professional and reliable equipment that meets our clients' high expectations. OUR CLIENTS Every year we organise a lot of recreational and sports events for companies and individual clients. Rafting is extremely popular among them. There is an enormous number of companies whose employers have tried our services so far, e.g. Nationale Nederlanden, Nortel and Whirpool, Plus GSM, Alianz, BP etc. We also cooperate with travel agencies such as Trip or Mr Travel. We are entirely convinced that our activity is both totally professional and safe as well as meets our clients' high expectations.
